Vegan Cinnamon Apples

Instructions

  1. Cut apples into wedges, removing core, and then slice those wedges into ¼- inch slices. Add apples to a large skillet with ½ cup water. Cover and cook over medium to medium-high heat for 10 minutes, until apples become slightly soft. Stir occasionally.
  2. Add salt and half of the vegan buttery spread to the skillet. Stir so spread coats all of the apple chunks. Continue to cook until they get slightly browned and to your desired level of softness. Then stir in the rest of the spread, sweetener, cinnamon, cloves, and vanilla.
  3. Stir to coat the apples in all of the spices. Remove from heat, and serve!

Note

  • Cinnamon Apples are good as a side, or used in morning oatmeal, overnight oats, or even as a pancake topping! They’re also great served with vegan vanilla ice cream.
  •  Sweeten Cinnamon Apples to taste with Splenda Stevia.
