Lemon Simple Syrup

Instructions

  1. Pour water into a small saucepan, and stir in Splenda Sweetener. Bring to a rolling boil over medium heat, stirring continually.
  2. Turn off heat and stir in lemon zest and juice. Let syrup set for 30-40 minutes to soak up the lemon flavor.
  3. Pour syrup through a fine-mesh sieve or strainer into a glass jar. Store in the refrigerator until ready to use. The syrup will keep 2-3 weeks in the refrigerator.

  • Lemon simple syrup is delicious used in a variety of ways: in iced teas, hot teas, cocktails, mocktails; on top of pancakes, waffles, drizzled in fruit salads, stirred into yogurt parfaits, or on any desserts! The possibilities are endless!
